My Recent Art Show in Shoreditch

My Recent Art Show in Shoreditch

Taking part in the exhibition 'Creative Minds' at Espacio Gallery over the past week has been such an amazing experience!

I have been working as an artist for four years now, on and off full time and part time. Last year I focused my energy more on quantity than quality, and that translated to sales as well as art.

I purposely wanted to sell lots of smaller products, as this would get me more experience making and selling. I think it was a great strategy to get myself lots of experience and build my confidence.

Now that the confidence has been built, my goal this year was to do more gallery shows and exhibitions, so this month has been very fulfilling!

Not only did I have my painting ' Nourishing Summer Evening' at the Mall Galleries for the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours exhibition, but I had to collect it and immediately hang it up in the next exhibition at Espacio Gallery in Shoreditch.

The private view on the 16th April was also incredibly busy and heart-warming! It was full of lovely artists and inspiring people celebrating and chatting about art that they made or that they enjoyed finding in the space.

I even made a sale! One of my more recent paintings, more inspired by the visible brushstrokes of the impressionists, was snapped up on the first night of the exhibition opening, and it was exhilirating to see the sticker get put on the label.

I want to thank everyone who even glanced at my art, let alone who showed interest or said nice things about them!

I also sincerely want to thank Espacio Gallery for being such a nice space to show art in, providing a larger wall than expected for my artwork. This meant that my two larger paintings could be hung and showcased, which made me so happy!

I was even able to take professional photographs of these works, in all their frames, in a professional setting. It's quite hard to find a way to photograph your artwork actually, and this was a great chance to get the best shot of each of these works.

I definitely would love to work with Espacio Gallery again, and I'm so happy with the experience!

Tomorrow is the last day of the exhibition, so if you're in the area of shoreditch go and visit the space for free to peruse the lovely artwork that is being showcased in the space!
