FAQs
About the Products
Who makes everything?
I do! I make all products, using scanning / printing / cutting machines of my own to produce and package every single one of them. That's not even mentioning the fact that the artwork is all mine, and the formatting / graphic design of each product is also all done by me!
If I ever create a product that is produced by another company, I will make it very clear in the description.
Why I make these products?
Almost all of my artwork is inspired by a memory or feeling that I want to hold onto for longer in my own life. The primary influence for me is the feeling of connection and community I get from sharing food with friends and family, and any acts of shared making with our hands. By making art about these moments and feelings, I am letting people see these small recognisable scenes of joy as valuable and worthy of paying attention to.
I believe that art should be accessible to people, while also not devaluing the time and effort of the artist making it. That's why everything I paint or print, I also turn into art prints, greeting cards, and postcards. I feel that these smaller cheaper products are a vital way to inject art into our lives and share it with others.
What is a Giclée Art Print?
Giclée (pronounced jee-clay) is the name given to art prints that are archival and/or museum-grade quality. The paper is coated and thick and is incredibly high quality. They are light-fast to prevent fading and are the next best thing to buying an original artwork!
What is a Lino Print?
A Lino Print is a form of physical relief printing, created by carving out a design from a sheet of linoleum, then evenly spreading a layer of ink over the sheet before pressing a piece of paper on top to transfer the design in reverse.
What are the Print size dimensions?
I standardise all my art prints to A6, A5, A4 and A3 to make framing at home easier! A6 is the smallest and A3 is the biggest. Their dimensions are:
A6 = 10.5 × 15 cm / A5 = 15 × 21 cm / A4 = 21 × 30 cm / A3 = 30 × 42 cm
What is your sustainability ethos?
As an environmentally-focused individual I aim to make all my artwork and products as sustainably and ethically as possible. I do this by sourcing all of my materials from ethical and local businesses to the best of my ability.
All products are packaged in eco-friendly packaging, using either recycled paper or clear sleeves which look plastic but are in fact vegan, compostable PLA clear sleeves that you can put in your food waste bins to decompose!
