Lina's 2025 Wrapped!

Lina's 2025 Wrapped!

This year has been such a whirlwind and so rewarding!

I've commited to selling at so many markets, mostly due to the freelance stress of needing to say yes to every opportunity because nothing is certain about how your income flows in. It's been such an amazing experience that has allowed me to meet so many lovely people, and learnt so much about selling / making a website / painting commissions!

I'm truly so grateful for this past year where I've taken life by the horns and not waited around for what could happen next. I'm excited for coming year, entering with more knowledge and data!

Speaking of data, here are my stats!!!

2025 WRAPPED

Number of markets I sold at: 93 (near the end of the year I was doing 4 markets a week, which really ramped up the number!)

Number of transactions at markets: around 17,000 (WOW, SO MANY!)

Number of online sales: 17 (incredibly grateful to each and every one!)

Top 3 designs sold as giclee art prints:

  • Gallery Wall (an absolute winner, I can't take full credit as this painting is simply depicting some incredible interior design by my friend in her home!)

  • Eating in the Wild Garden (one of my favourites, especially due to the complexity and the colours!)

  • Pandemic Picnic (an old classic, this in the one that I always tell people symbolises my realisation that capturing moments of human connection over shared food / rituals like a cup of tea is what I'd like to depict more of in art)

Standout new design:

  • Get Stuck In (this one obviously very much suited the November / December markets, and has sold a lot considering it's one of my newest designs!)

Top design sold as greeting cards / postcards:

Telephone Box in the Sun (this makes sense, for anyone who's a tourist and wants a little souvenir made by a local artist)

Number of products sold:

  • A3 giclee art prints - 49
  • A4 giclee art prints - 134
  • A5 giclee art prints - 231
  • A4 lino prints - 43
  • A5 lino prints - 38
  • A6 lino prints - 17
  • Greeting cards - 965
  • Postcards - 506
  • Bookmarks - 98

Best market to sell with: Open Art Market (I love Emma and Eve who run this market and always do well at their markets!)

Best location for sales: Piccadilly (specifically St James Church in November / December)

Best day for sales: 29th November (of course! it's during the build up to xmas!)

Original artworks sold: 30 (I take selfies with almost everyone who buys an original to celebrate / remember the exchange!)

Commissions undertaken: 41 (can't believe it's this many!)

Hours spent on painting / drawing commissions: 282 (also can't believe it's that many hours haha)

New paintings completed: 28 (not including sketches / commissions / life drawing studies)

New drawings completed: 8 (not including sketches / commissions / life drawing studies)

Life drawing sessions attended: 5 (eek, I should go more)

Sketchbooks finished: 3 (I think??)

Current works-in-progres on the go: 5 (hard to really say to be honest)

Instagram posts: 194 (I ramped it up in September by deciding to post every day instead of every monday / tuesday / wednesday)

Exhibitions my art was accepted into: 5 (honestly, less than last year, so I want to reflect on why this is since I feel like my artwork has more skill now but perhaps is missing a certain something compared to last year?)

Have an amazing x-mas and a happy new year everyone! During January and February I plan to take a step back from markets, but will be very much still selling online and taking commissions!

THANK YOU!

Lina x
