Nuudles at the Chelsea Art Society

One of my favourite lino print designs I created has been preselected for the next round of judgement in order to be accepted into this year’s Chelsea Art Society exhibition!
Starting off as simple wordplay amongst friends, the design was inspired by our love of eating ramen together (noodles) and going to life drawing classes (nudes).
The passing comment merging the two words put a visual in my head of life drawing model posing in a swirling bowl of ramen, and once it was sketched the design was already set in motion.
Last year I also had artwork preselected for the Chelsea Art Society that didn’t get accepted in the end, so I’m not too worried either way. But it would be so lovely to see this print included in this year’s show, amongst all the other amazing paintings and prints that London has to offer!
Still got all my fingers and toes crossed either way!
