Private View in Walthamstow

What a lovely crowd it was at the Private View on 2nd May! The sunny weather was out as well, to help boost the mood. Refreshments were there and all the artists were wonderful to speak to about their work!

I was so happy to be a part of this event. With such great organisers and such great participants, it made me pleased to be associated with them all!
Some of my favourite work was by Ngai Ning Yu, who paints wonderful moments of light in interior scenery. The use of colour and the ambiance in each painting is something I want to take inspiration from. I also really enjoyed the detail and reflective shine in Angus Forbes-Cable’s still life painting! The tactile quality of Jess Bennet’s work was also something that stood out and was encouraged to be interacted with.
My three paintings were small and in the “kitchen” area due to their subject matter of food and thresholds leading to eating spaces.
I hope Waltham Collective put on another show - I’ll be applying asap if they do!
