This original oil painting was done from life indoors in my own home. I was at a loss for what to capture and was inspired by the ability to create anything exciting and interesting by zooming into and focusing on the everyday mundane elements of life. What is usual to me and my home is unusual and intriguing to others and vice versa. There is also a cosiness that comes from seeing how objects and items are arranged / stashed away in people's abodes, telling a story about what they need quicker access to and what they feel is important to have on display.
