'Empty Glass Jar on a Desk at Night 01' Watercolour Painting (mounted)

This original watercolour painting was an exercise in capturing the way light refracts when hitting glass, and this highly recognisable and reusable jam jar is one that I feel is the perfect subject for such a task. I enjoy how the material of glass abstracts lights and colours in ways that allows me to see more clearly when painting - rather than seeing what I know is there, I can see unique shapes. Mounted.
